Wednesday, September 15
Boys Soccer- PENFIELD @ Webster Thomas - 4 (A) – 1 (H) Ben Swanger scored twice and Alex Swanger had one goal, two assists for Penfield (4-1). Thomas is 3-1-1.
Girls Golf- Greece Arcadia, Olympia, Odyssey, Athena @ PENFIELD - 36 (A) – 38 (H) Courtney McCarthy shot 3-over par 35 for Penfield (1-1) at Shore Acres to earn medalist honors. Sarah Bothner shot 40 playing independently for Brighton. Jordan Salvaggio shot 46 for Greece (0-2).
Girls Volleyball- PENFIELD @ Webster Thomas - 75 (A) – 38 (H) Gaylen Fronk had 20 assists, five aces and Kristen Bona had five aces for Penfield (5-0). Thomas is 1-4.
Tuesday, September 14
Boys Volleyball- PENFIELD @ Webster - 95 (A) – 88 (H) Senior Trevor Sangster had 10 kills for Penfield (4-0). Sophomore Steve Lindeberg had seven kills and three aces for Webster (1-1).
Girls Field Hockey- Penfield @ Webster Schroeder - 1 (A) – 1 (H) Mikaela Thompson of Webster Schroeder (2-0-1) tied the game five minutes into the second half. Leslie Cady scored for Penfield.
Girls Golf- Mercy @ PENFIELD - 232 (A) – 290 (H) Danielle Fuss shot 39 at Eagle Vale and was medalist for Mercy (3-1).
Girls Soccer- Penfield @ WEBSTER SCHROEDER - 1 (A) – 2 (H) Alexa Antetomaso scored with 10 minutes to go in the game to lift the Warriors. Alex Strutt scored the first and assisted the winner and Nikki Frate made eight saves for Schroeder (2-0-1). Penfield is 0-1-1.
Girls Swimming- Penfield @ CANANDAIGUA - 124 (A) – 188 (H) Paula Bentley won the 100-meter butterfly and backstroke and Julia Messina won the 50- and 100- freestyles for Canandaigua.
Girls Tennis- PENFIELD @ Webster Schroeder - 5 (A) – 2 (H) Liz Letoshko won 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 at second singles for the Patriots (3-2).
